John mccart

Born 1958 in Belfast , Started working on building sites at 16 years old. Attended University briefly. Returned to building site and sunk into alcoholism and depression, for two decades painted only intermittently during this period. After much medical help and therapy have returned to painting as a means to quiet my soul and help me engage more meaningfully with others.

Have had several exhibitions over the past the 15 years most noticeably with the 'Emer Gallery in Belfast.
